Arthur Carlton Hawes III " Chuck" 53, of Havana & Calvary, GA. died Monday, April 7, 2008 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee. Graveside memorial service be at 11:00 am Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Piedmont Cemetery in Calvary, GA. Born April 26, 1954 at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City. Chuck was a graduate of Cairo High School. He also attend Lively Vo-Tech in 1970 where he learned the trade skill of a draftsman, and later he was employed with Herron Steel Company of Tallahassee. Chuck was a avid bass fisherman that fished in most all local bass tournaments.
He is survived by his companion Jo Beth Wilmer of Havana; two daughters Kimberly and Jennifer; one son Chris Hawes of Wakulla. three sisters, Doris Barrett (and husband Charles) of Lynn Haven; Rebecca Mowrey (and husband Ron) of Tallahassee and Judy Chaulker (and husband Jack) of Jonesboro, GA. Two brothers Jimmy Hooks (and wife Elaine) of Concord and Randy Hooks of Atlanta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Hawes, Jr. and his mother Bernice Hooks Hawes.
