Arlene Little White

January 4, 1934 — April 6, 2026

Tallahassee, Florida

Arlene Little White, Age 92, made her peaceful transition to heaven on Monday morning, April 6, 2026.

She was born on January 4, 1934, to George and Nellie Little in Wilmar, California. She was the middle child of three girls and they grew up in the San Diego area of California. She met the love of her life, O'Neal White, who was stationed in the Navy in San Diego and they married on July 12, 1952. In 1953, they moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where they built a home and raised a family of four children. They lived out their lives in that same home on Pecan Road.

Arlene was a homemaker who always unselfishly put her family’s needs and wants above her own. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, and if anyone was hungry they knew who made the best biscuits around. She was a faithful member of Leon Ebenezer Baptist Church from 1953 until she passed. She participated in many roles from teaching Sunday School, VBS, Secretary for Sunday School records and also assisted in decorating the church. She had a servant’s heart, ministering wherever she was needed, providing food, visiting the sick or just making herself available to help others.

Her hobbies included painting, puzzles, quilting, and attending any sporting events of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, of which she took pride in being their best cheerleader.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nellie Little; her husband, O'Neal White; her sister, Dorothy Marshall; her son-in-law, Gary Boone; and many other relatives and friends.

She is survived by her four children; Susan Kellogg (Bob), Garry White (Cindy), Judy Hussey (Sam), Paula Boone; and one sister, Donna Smith. Her grandchildren; Charlotte Sorrell (Michael), Charles Reed Rericha, Erin Schepers, Adam Hussey (Meredith), Niki Sparks (Steven), Blaine Kellogg (Kimberly), Kacy Bonta (Brody), Devin Smith (Jeremy). Great grandchildren; Albrey Sorrell, Kayleigh Perkins (Dawson), Clay Sorrell, Jackson Branch, Kai Kellogg, Jace Hussey, Caroline Branch, Noah Kellogg, Tyler Hussey, Olivia Austin, Charlie Beth Sparks, Tucker Sparks, Brinley Bonta, Blakely Bonta and Brady Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.

She will always be remembered as a loving, selfless and kindhearted wife, Mom, sister, aunt, friend, Granny White and most of all Granny Great.
